GAUTENG - JOHANNESBURG - FATHERS BEATS 11 MONTH OLD BABY TO DEATH!

An 11-month old baby was brutally beaten to death by his mother’s 21-year old boyfriend in Johannesburg, said Gauteng police on Sunday. The man, a Zimbabwean national, has since been arrested and charged with murder.

“It was very sad to see a baby in that condition,” said police spokesperson Warrant Officer Xoli Mbele.

According to Mbele, the 18-year old mother, originally from Swaziland, was outside their shack doing laundry when she heard the man shouting at the baby.

“She eventually went in and asked him where the baby is,” said Mbele.

“He first said the baby was asleep and then changed his story and said he thought the child had fainted.”

The mother rushed her child to a nearby fire station, but paramedics declared him dead.
Mbele said the baby had swelling on his head, and his entire body was bruised.
The man will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
