GUGLETHU - 2 BROTHERS ACCUSED OF RAPING 10 YEAR OLD NIECE TO APPEAR IN COURT!

Two of the three Gugulethu, Cape Town brothers accused of raping and murdering their 10-year old niece, Chelsea Godlo, are expected to appear in the Western Cape High Court on Tuesday.

The other brother, Christopher Godlo, 31, was sentenced last May to 35 years in jail for the girl’s rape and murder. Christopher pleaded guilty as part of a plea.

Tashville and Michael Godlo were set to appear last year, but no court was available.

Christopher confessed that he and his brothers had been planning to kill their sister, niece and their step-brother.

Their sister was going to evict them from their father’s home, so the brothers concocted a plan to get rid of them.

According to News24, Christopher Godlo said on 12 August last year, Chelsea returned from school and he decided to ‘implement part of his plan’.

“[I] thought that as I was going to kill her, I would rape her first,” he said in his plea.

He raped her in his brother’s Wendy house. He attempted to strangle her, when his girlfriend saw him through the window. She alerted the community but he lied his way out of it and left the girl in the Wendy.

“At one stage, I left the deceased who was still alive, and participated in various decoys with the community, assisting in searching for the deceased and reporting her missing to the police,” he stated.

“On my return, I discovered that the deceased was stabbed in her neck with a screwdriver and was dead.”

He hid the girl’s body under his father’s bed.

Police later discovered the body.
