EAST RAND - 2 GRADE 2 GIRLS GANG-RAPED BY SIX BOYS AT SCHOOL!

The father of one of the victims of an East Rand primary school gang-rape says he now wants the Gauteng Education Department to help him find a new school for his daughter.

The Vosloorus man claims he received little assistance from the Rebontsheng Primary School and education officials after his seven-year-old daughter and her friend were raped on Monday.
Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi has promised to provide any assistance necessary for the child’s education and well-being.

The East Rand father says he now wants the Education Department to intervene after what he says was the poor handling of his daughter’s rape.

“I don’t think my daughter is going to be comfortable going back to that school. They only thing I need is for them to make sure she goes to another school.”

The girl was with her friend, also in grade two, when they were raped allegedly by a group of six boys.

The six have since been suspended pending disciplinary action.
Meanwhile, teachers have been ordered to inform its School Governing Body on what steps they took after learning of the rapes.
