A senior Correctional Services official based in the West Coast town of Porterville has been arrested following allegations of child molestation.The man, who is based at Voorberg Prison, was taken into custody this week.
He appeared in court yesterday, where he was denied bail.
Regional Commissioner of Correctional Services in the province Delekile Klaas says, “I can confirm that one of our officials at Voorberg Correctional Centre in Porterville was arrested on allegations of child molestation and/or rape. Currently, the official is still incarcerated.”
