Yesterday, 20 August 2015 at about 10:00, police went to Kuilsrivier to engage with commuters in an awareness campaign as part of “Operation Basadi Ba Fiela”. At the Kuilsrivier station they were informed by a member of the public that he was worried about a school girl in full uniform that went with a taxi driver and got inside the taxi.Police went to investigate and they noticed a 14-year-old girl and a man inside the taxi, who were getting dressed.
A case of rape is under investigation and a 21-year-old suspect was arrested and is expect to appear at Kuilsriver Court on Monday 24 August 2015.
